Back in November, I suffered a bit of an artistic breakdown after the release of "Harrowing State Of Failure". Along with that, things started falling apart with Sarah.

In fact, she's probably why I'm ending Bloomshock. I spent so much time worrying about our friendship after "Failure" that I decided to put more time into the band ("Dry" remains one of my favorite songs of mine). That didn't exactly pan out as I'd hoped (despite getting two songs out), so in January, I started working on "Amherst". Most of the songs I wrote were deliberately not about Sarah, as to not come across as pathetic. She never heard the album, and that's probably for the better.

After some other bullshit that I won't get into, things finally crashed and burned with Sarah on March 18. While this was not the final straw, it was pretty bad for Bloomshock. As for Sarah, I'll probably try talking to her again in September.

Then, a few weeks ago, my band, Naked Ant (nakedant.bandcamp.com) got together in Mitch's basement. The chemistry was amazing. I wanted that. I didn't want to make music alone anymore.
